Salary Banding:  £22,400 - £25,500

Job Location:  Stoke-on-Trent

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 per week

Your Housing Group has over 28,000 homes across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, and a large portfolio of retirement living developments - we now have an exciting opportunity for a Retirement Living Services (RLS) Scheme Manager based at our modern 140 apartment Extra Care at Maple West, Chell, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 6FA.

Maple West is not a care home/nursing home environment, tenants are supported and enabled to maintain an independent lifestyle.  We are a partner of the Sapphire Consortium appointed to deliver 390 high quality retirement apartments as part of a PFI contract in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council.   

As the Scheme Manager, you will be passionate about supporting older people, providing support and advice to all customers, promoting a friendly, community atmosphere.

It’s a given, you will have great communication skills and be a true “people person”, you will be commercially minded and always on the lookout for opportunities to improve and enhance YHG’s service to our customers. 

As our Scheme Manager, you will utilise your previous people management skills, managing a team that provide housing and related services, signpost and liaise with customers and their families, and work in partnership with the on-site facilities management and care providers, as well as external agencies to ensure customer’s needs are always met.

In the rewarding, non-residential role of Retirement Living Scheme (RLS) Manager, you will………

 

  • have previous experience within older people’s housing services or managing a scheme of a similar size
  • thrive in a busy, customer focused environment, delivering an excellent customer service
  • have knowledge of managing performance, overseeing the delivery of high-quality housing and facilities management
  • have previous people management experience, supporting and developing your team
  • have knowledge housing legislation and housing management principles

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
