Job Title: Retirement Living Scheme Team Leader

Salary Banding: £24,500 to £28,500

Job Location: Chester

Contact Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 hours

With over 28,000 homes, Your Housing Group has a large, diverse portfolio of properties, including Retirement Living Schemes for the over 55’s and we have an exciting opportunity for a Retirement Living Services Coordinator / Team Leader, based in Chester.

In the rewarding role of Retirement Living Services Coordinator / Team Leader, you’ll be applying your previous people management skills to lead, support, coach and develop your team of three Scheme Managers across three modern Retirement Living Schemes for the over 55’s (Abbot’s Wood and Kingswood in Chester and The Windings in Helsby).   You’ll ensure your Scheme Managers have the tools they need to support their own team, consisting of Night Supervisors, Site Officers, Administrators and Cleaners. 

It’s essential you not only excel in developing others but also have experience of older people’s housing services / Schemes and of course, you’ll have exceptional communication skills.    You will be responsible for tenancy and leasehold management of the three Schemes, ensuring excellent customer service is always achieved and each Scheme’s performance is maximised.

As our Retirement Living Services Coordinator / Team Leader, you will have ……..

  • experience of managing Retirement Living/Extra Care housing or lettings/tenancy management
  • knowledge of Retirement Living / Extra Care housing and other services for older people  
  • knowledge of housing legislation and housing management principles
  • excellent communication skills, with experience leading, developing and coaching a small team of managers
  • a passion for working with older people

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS ENHANCED/ADULT BARRED check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
