Your Housing Group has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing, multi-disciplined team where you can have a huge influence over the next couple of years.

As a Project Manager, you will manage the business case development, design and delivery phases of projects as a project management practitioner.

Our Project Managers will play a big part in the wider development and management of the Business Change and Programme Delivery function and best practice delivery of business analysis across Your Housing Group (YHG).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the corporate design principles and clearly demonstrate close alignment to the business and the strategic objectives of the organisation.
  • Ensure that the project delivery is planned and delivered effectively to maximise contribution to organisational objectives.
  • Contribute to business and service planning
  • Translate an in depth understanding of business needs into specific project management requirements and delivery
  • Deliver project management to a high standard
  • Liaise with Stakeholders and Customers.
  • Translate an in depth understanding of business needs into specific project management requirements and delivery
  • Ensure that the project delivery is in line with the prescribed standards required.
  • Contribute to the development of effective and fit for purpose project management methodologies, tools and documentation.
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the project management methodologies
  • Responsible for own project budgets and financial monitoring
  • Collaborate and work with specific project/programme teams as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent IT awareness, knowledge of IT and solutions best practice
  • Experience of effective Project Management monitoring and control
  • Experience of effective risk and issues management
  • Experience of supplier management to ensure strong relationships are established to facilitate delivery of products within time, cost and quality
  • Excellent project planning skills, working collaboratively utilising different approaches and strategies to ensure effective scheduling
  • Ability to work proactively in a continually changing work environment and with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to plan and facilitate workshops engendering contribution and ownership of solutions
  • Ability to handle conflict, demonstrating a positive and confident approach to resolve issues in a constructive way.
  • Able to take the role of the consultant with the ability to challenge approaches and culture
