Job Title: Older Peoples Services Officer              

Salary Banding:  £23,500 - £27,000 per annum

Job Location:  Liverpool, Merseyside 

Contract Duration:   Fixed Term Contract ending February 2020

Hours (weekly):  35

Your Housing Group have a fantastic opportunity for an Older People Services Officer, overseeing a patch of sheltered housing and extra care schemes in Liverpool and St Helens. This is a fixed term contract to cover a secondment.

In the rewarding role of Older People Services Officer, you will be responsible for tenancy management of sheltered housing and extra care schemes, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, and performance is maximised.

To be successful in this role, it’s a given that you will have demonstrable knowledge of housing legislation and housing management principles, have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people. Previous experience of managing older people’s housing services or schemes and experience of people management is desirable.

This role is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.  Therefore, a DBS Enhanced adult barred check for a regulated activity is an essential requirement.
