Contact Duration: Permanent

Hours (weekly): 35 (Monday to Friday) 

 

Are you a technically strong Governance Manager with a desire to be the right-hand person to the Group Company Secretary?  Are you ICSA qualified, working towards or qualified by experience?

Your Housing Group has an exciting opportunity for a Governance Manager based at our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to be the Group Company Secretary’s second in command to ensure the efficient delivery of professional Governance and Company Secretarial Services to the Group.

In this challenging and rewarding Governance Manager role, you will be the first point of contact for the Group’s Boards and Committees, organising meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes, deputising for the Group Company Secretary.

As a Governance Manager, you will have experience of working within a regulated sector and possess the ability to manage a variety of work and deadlines. 

Utilising your extensive Governance experience, you will develop and coach the Governance Team to enable the delivery of company secretarial services, increasing their professional knowledge and building their capacity to contribute to the achievement of business objectives.   You will ensure the smooth running of all Board and Committee activities, ensuring high standards of Governance remaining aligned with our policies.

It’s a given to be a successful Governance Manager you will be a highly organised, with excellent communications and time management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with a range of stakeholders externally and internally across the Group.

If you have…

  • Extensive Governance experience
  • Regulatory, Company Secretarial and Compliance experience and experience of servicing Boards and Committees
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Previous worked as a Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary
  • An ICSA qualification (or working towards/qualified by experience)
