Salary Banding:  £16,800 - £21,105 per annum

Contract Duration:  Permanent

Hours (weekly):  35 (Monday to Friday)

Your Housing Group has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant, based at their modern office in Birchwood, Warrington.

As the Finance Assistant, you will be based in the General Ledger team assisting in delivering the general ledger processing for the Group.   You will be responsible for processing transactions to support the Assistant Accountant General Ledger to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Working within the Shared Service Finance Team, as Finance Assistant, some tasks you will be undertaking are accruals and prepayments computations and processing , journal allocations, Payroll journal processing, undertaking and collating account reconciliations and Bank reconciliations.

It’s a given that as a Finance Assistant you will have excellent communication skills and experience of managing tasks to deadlines and successful relationship building is also key to this role.

As the Finance Assistant, you will have experience in Finance process and Finance systems and be a competent user of most Microsoft packages together with experience of double entry book-keeping, associated accounting controls and procedures.  

In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to support Value for Money throughout the organisation and have a passion for doing things right first time.
